Despite our name, no we are not. Our Lodge is located 5 km before the Buttle Lake entrance to Strathcona Provincial Park.
Although we are close to various trailheads, we rely on BC Park’s website for trail information and that is the best place to visit for accurate information. Parks does not maintain the trails from October to May and are unable to update trail information during that time. We will do our best to give you a general idea regarding the trails depending upon reports we receive, but there is no guarantee we will have all the answers for you.
Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10am.
We understand that your furry friends are part of the family. Dogs are only allowed to stay with you in our cottages and there is a fee of $50 per dog, per stay. We require that you keep your dogs on a leash and clean up after them. We are happy to provide you with some doggy bags if you’ve forgotten yours at home.
We take a 25% non-refundable deposit with every reservation to confirm space, with the balance due upon arrival. Bookings made within 24 hours of arrival require full pre-payment. In the event of a cancellation, or if a client arrives late or leaves early for any reason there will be NO refund. We accept MASTERCARD or VISA over the telephone or online. All prices shown are in Canadian funds and are subject to applicable taxes. Rates may be subject to change without notice.
You leave cell service about 10 minutes outside of Campbell River and Gold River. We offer complimentary WIFI to our overnight registered guests, available at our main office building. The WIFI is connected by a satellite hotspot, and due to our location in this mountainous region, weather events may interfere with our connection.
Our off-grid power means that extensive use of plug-in devices, such as hair-dryers, coffee makers and refrigeration would quickly crash our system. However, we understand you may be coming for a wedding or special event and need to be dressed and pressed! A limited amount of hairdryers are available by request from the front office. We also have irons and ironing boards available for your use.
